The octabank has landed
And it's freaking huge!
Yesterday, the owner of flashogfotobutikken.dk came over and offered me this fine piece of equipment for a special price. I had already bought a bunch of stuff there, so looking over at my growing pile of photo and light equipment I thought - what the hell.
This is what happened when I unfolded the newest family member
It can be bought for 895 DKK at flashogfotobutikken.dk
The Final Studio light test
I just got back from a get-away-trip to Sweden, which is partially the reason why I haven't done my weekly posts. The other reason is actually a bunch of jobs which has made my days quite busy, I'm not complaining though.

As mentioned in this earlier post, I thought about investing in new studio equipment, and now, some weeks later, it's done, it's tested and it's being used and enjoyed to its fullest.
I briefed the guys behind miteos.dk about the upcoming purchase, and they requested I did a review of the products for their site, but in Danish. So I tore out a day in the calender, set up the equipment, brought in my test model and began shooting and testing. The final test can be seen HERE at the miteos.dk site (You have to be a registered user to view the articles - and rest assured, there are some very excellent at the site.
After having bought, tested and posted the review of the gear, the owner of Flashogfotobutikken.dk contacted me explaining some of issues I had during the testing as well as providing me with some extra information (and now he's actually using some of my test images in the product descriptions - ain't that funny)
Among other things, I had problems mounting the umbrellas on the Triopo lamp, and ending up giving up. I was afterwards told that I had to loosen a screw that I had missed in order to mount them (well don't I feel stupid now).
But also, both lamps actually have 900w components inside which means that you have them running at full power (600w) all day without worrying about a them burning out - plus, they won't get hot either, so he's actually providing a full 2-year garantee on these lamps whereas other dealers only offer 6-12 months on theirs.

Freak Wedding – The movie
That my dear readers, is the long waited video from last years big photo event "Freak Wedding". You might remember some of the images - well here's the video to show you guys how it all went down. A BIG thanks to all the particispants and a special thanks to Henry Büchmann who filmed and cut the final video.
Selling framed prints
I dug up some old framed photos which were literally collecting dust, so I thought to myself - why not sell them cheap to whoever might find it interesting? Hell, I'm selling it for less than the price of the frame itself.
Bids start at 99 DKK per photo and ends at 199 DKK. And you can bid ANYTHING in between as long as it is more than previous bids and a whole number (like 153 DKK.)
For each 200 DKK bidden, 50 DKK will be donated to charity.
All you have to do is note your bid as a comment here. I'll update as often as I can.
The numbers are listed from 2 to 14 (number 1 is the overview photo)
I'll leave the bids running for some time, not sure how long though. If you win a bid, show up at my address and pick up your prize - it's that simple.

Going to Roskilde Festival 2010
So, after a three year break, I'm finally going back to Roskilde Festival. Last time, I had dreadlocks, wore a kilt and juggled with booze in an orange bar.
This time I'm going there as a photographer working for the festival and the festival news paper. I'll be teamed up with a journalist and sent through the festival in order to document whatever might happen, but after accepting the job, I found out that my friend Michael Flarup from Pixelresort is going there as well as a photographer. (Do yourself a favor and swing by his website and be stunned by his graphic talent).
I'll keep you updated on this and will surely post images on the site.
Clash Festival – The artists
After spending two days taking photos of all the artists from the Clash Festival, I ended up editing 41 images for the online magazine (which can also be found in print at the festival)
Here they are in random order:
