DIY – the steadycam Copenhagen style

Yesterday I met Michael Rygaard for the first time, and today we initiated a DIY (Do it yourself) project together. We had talked a bit about cheap modifiers for the canon 5d mk2 so that the HD video could be utilized more effecient, and this morning I got back from workout to a facebook message saying - I've looked around the internet - wanna build this? Since I had nothing else planned today, I said, hell yeah.

4 hours later and a bargain at a keymakers shop which ended with us buying them beer for letting us use some of their tools, we had ourselves a Steadycam. Michael has it every second week.

Stabilizing weight.

This is the project we got inspired by - thanks to david for reminding me to post this.

  1. It would have been great with a link to the actual project site so we could also find out how to make one without googling for it. I’m guessing it’s this one?
