Everlast commercial photos hits Dubai

Remember those photos I did a while back with all them hot ladies dressed as boxers roaming the streets of Copenhagen?

Well it seems Everlast in Dubai is into that. So into it that they've taken one of the photos from the photo shoot and made a 9 meters wall as the front of one of their shops down in the land of sand.

How to instruct your model

Photography is not only equipment, exposure and framing. When shooting people, it's also about interaction between you and the subject - it's about psychology and it's about those little tips to make it all go a bit smoother. I've done some teaching on the subject, but I still get inspired and learn new stuff when i stumble over videoes like these.

First we have danish Yuri Acurs - the world renown stock photographer:

Documentary on David LaChapelle

Here's a small documentary about the pop artist David LaChapelle - in my point of view, one of the most fantastic photographers.

Don't know the man? Check out these images and see if it rings a bell.

Paris Photo 2010

I think I'm gonna book flight tickets for my first off shore photo exhibition/event - the big one in Paris from the 17. to 21. of november.

Apparently, more than 100 galleries and publishers are gathered in the city d'amour, so my advice would be to start looking into your bank account and calender, if you're up for going as well.

Creative Adds

When good photography combines with humour, it does something for me. I'm a sucker for funny adds, so I've decided to dedicate this post to some of the better ones I've come across.

Making music videos with 5dmk2

When 5d mk2 first arrived, most were left stunned by the Vincent Laforet video that transpired the internet.  Since then, a lot of things have happened - more hd dslsrs have been released, which has suddenly made a market for movie equipment for these dslrs. An example of how this is used, can be seen below. This Medina video has been filmed with 5dMK2 and a shoulder rig.

And here's the behind-the-scenes video. Not the most informative, but it does give you an idea how little equipment they've been using.

So why am I suddenly posting videoes about how to make videoes? Because I'm secretly in love with video making. I don't have any experience with it, but if someone would offer me to sit along while such videoes were made, I would definately say yes and try to learn as much as possible.

Photoshoot – Nymphs and Satyrs

Two weeks back, I had the pleasure of working with three fantastic people in an efford to make Beauty photography with a little twist.

I had been talking with Kenneth Holm Godskesen, an upcoming makeup-artist with great ideas and huge potential, and we wanted to make some avantgarde beauty photography, with both men and women.

The idea slowly evolved into something different, and the next thing I knew, we had Kenneth Jizawi and Christiane Friis dressed up as a Satyr and a Nymph with branches and leaves all over my studio. Kenneth did a fantastic job with the styling, and the two models showed us how exactly greek mythology goes fashion.

Thanks to Cecilia for letting us borrow her homemade horns.

When Photoshop teases

I found this website some days ago and instantly remembered how many times I've sat with Photoshop and not understanding WHY the cursor was a Hand all the time, or WHY I couldn't paint on the selected layer.

What Laurie McCanna has done, is to give quick answers to all of those things We all trip over while using Photoshop.

New website up and running

I few months back I decided to finally do something about my old website adamsundphoto.com. It had some vital flaws, only half of the visitors figured out how to maneouvre around and there was not CMS system ( a way for me to handle the images).

So I contacted a friend of mine who sent to a friend of his who finally sent me to HIS friend - a guy who could make me a website based on wordpress. Figuring it might be a lot easier to work it since this blog is in WordPress, I decided to give him the job.

Today, a bunch of mails later and a whole lot of working hours put into the project, I'm proud to present my final and brand new WEBSITE.

A great big thanks to Simon Salomonsen for being such a sport with this project - he really took a lot from he and my very specific and sometimes changing ideas.

Feel free to pop by - you and know how I love a good comment.

Photoshop competition – the winner is

A few weeks ago I made a post where you could download an image and expose to your own dose of Photoshop.

Here are those who took up the challenge

Jimmi Larsen

Troels WeinreichHelle HarmsLonghorn

I most admit I had somegood  laughs over this, and having to pick a winner was harder than I had thought.

Each photo has it's own charm, which I'm pretty sure you can all see, but the winner photo took the elements and used them in a quite different context which made me laugh the most - and when it all comes down, this competition was about that - humour.

And with those words said, I am proud to announc that

Jimmi Larsen is the winner with this fantastic Ballet intepretation.

He managed to use the new puppet warp tool to it's fullest effect which made this quite hilarious image - congratulations - you've just won a 50% discount on my upcoming courses!
