Beauty photography – photo session
Kenneth Holm Godskesen is a rising star in the world of makeup - He won the danish makeup championships followed by the European championship as well.
I had the distinct pleasure of working with him on the satyr and nymph shooting not long ago, and with a great experience back then, We decided to meet up again.
Models Sandra Vester and Christina Berg were both up for some beauty photography, so we hooked up in my studio and played around.
Some hours and 16,7 GB of awesome material later, we could look through the pictures in exaltation. I had to leave for New York shortly after, so I haven't had to edit more than these 4 photos, but you can bet your arse, that more will come.
These photos are a product of freaking amazing models and an equally amazing makeup artist (and stylist).
I’m still here – doing stuff
Alright, so I'll admit that I haven't been the most active blogger these last few months. But I promise You, that it's not becaue things are slowing down - actually it's quite the opposite.
Stuff around me has been speeding up - not only photography, but also my new accuantance - video photography.
It started in september last year. I decided that having a 5d mk2 with HD recording capabilities, I might as well give the video photography a chance. That lead to a status update on facebook where I said that I would work for free the next 12 months with video photography - where do I go? A couple of people were quick to point me some directions, one of them being to Copenhagen Records who had a new project brewing - a music web tv for their artists.
Jeppe Kolstrup, director, was (and still is) in charge of the group of volunteers who helped building up the project which has now made quite a handful of cool material.
Today, the videos can be found at CopenhagenBeta, where I've worked with Carpark North, Caroline Henderson, Burhan G, Joey Moe, Nik & Jay and a bunch of upcoming artists.
Below are two acoustic concerts with Burhan G and Carpark North.
This last video is my first video with me as Director of Photography (the guy who films get fancy titles as well, as you can see)
The cool thing is that it's with Nik and Jay.
Motivation: How to be successful
I get newsfeeds from Fstoppers.com which you can probably see, from the number of times I link to some of their videos. I link to the videoes whenever I feel like they offer important, interestering or funny material, and that they do quite often.
That being said, I just watched this very motivational video, which I strongly encourage you to watch as well. So don't think, just do.
