A photoshop video on Youtube going through the roof
April last year, I posted a video tutorial on Youtube. It was my first tutorial in english, which doesn't come as a great surprise to those who watch it.
It had been generating a decent amount of views, but then all of a sudden this year, the amount of viewers started to climb.
1. October 2011, It had 250,000 views - one month later 500,000. At this point, it's generating about 8,000 views a day which is pretty damn good for a photoshop video on the internet.
Why so many viewers? I haven't got the slightest idea - but it's pretty darn awesome, and has definately inspired me to start doing more.
So if you have advices for any good screen capture software available out there, write it in the comments.
And what should I make a tutorial about next time?
[EDIT] I've posted a link to a bunch of brushes that could be used for this kinda effect at the bottom of the description field in the youtube video, but appearently, that's somewhat difficult to spot.
So here's a link for deviantart.coms brush section

Hi I loved this video.. awesome effect… had problems viewing in detail as it goes blurred (pixelated) when full screen… can you email me a walk-through on how to do it… ie, setting up all the different layers as I noticed they were already on as video starts. Any tips would be appreciated as I’m new to photoshop and would love to try this on some of the photos from my wedding day
Thanks M Hogarth

Thanks for the video .. its a very nice effect.
A small tip – is maybe to go through the presentation in your head before starting to record.. it seems you are jumping forth and back a bit (den røde tråd mangler). But I’m sure it will come with practise so keep on posting

Something like changing light in a beauty shoot or adding light to a beauty shoot….maybe something like changing the makeup.

Hi, I have research photos (of people doing and making stuff; trad. techniques etc) of varying quality for my MA thesis (social anthropology) and would really like to turn them into simple line drawings. are you able to do a tutorial on this PLEASE. I’ve realsied that the best way to do this probably would be to use a tablet, but I just don’t have the budget right now (student with family), but I do have photoshop already. Many thanks!
regards

I am a journalism major, and I decided to pick up a camera (T2i Rebel Cannon EOS) and then I got the master collection adobe, and I really have to learn so much. This is about the third or fourth tutorial Ive looked to, and it is by far the best one. You ask what you should do next, I say everything. Man I would like to learn everything. Anyways, I just wanted to thank you for this great post, and I am going to be back to see what advice you have. Great work.

In the side bar, you have a picture on top of you, the same in the middle screen, how do you get that to work, because until I am able to move my pic behind the other one, I cannot do what you are doing .
