Inspirational

I'll try to update this as often as possible.

This page will contain links along with selected photos of inspirational artists, who in some way inspire me.

The first photographer who is featured here is Gregory Colbert.

I stumbled upon his website a few years ago, lost track of it and found it again after asking around in different fora.

What makes his work inspirational is not only the fantastic images, but the consistency in the visual expression and his fantastic website which all should visit. This site transcends normal website experience and lets you in on his universe.

Rarindra Prakarsa is one of the absolute best landscape photographers I've seen, but also being able to capture native kids playing in paradise like surroundings is just not fair.

I Suspect him/her(?) to use a whole lot of photoshop, but who cares - I know, I don't.

The gallery - I've googled the name, and it actually seems like the photographer has no website of him/her own.

Oh yeah, and the bonus

- The photos are shot with Canon Cybershot and Canon 400d (with tokina 12-24mm). Kinda kills the whole myth about equipment matters, huh?

Most photographers excel in one specific branch more than others, yet Clive Arrowsmith seems to do both Fashion and Beauty to perfection

Gudmund Thai Is and will remain the danish equivalent to David Lachapelle.

I first saw his work on the TheRockAndRollMagazine, and since then, I've seen him do more and more work for danish celebrities and television stations (tv2, tv2 Zulu etc.)

Where David Lachapelle is a twisted genius, Gudmund Thai has a bit more rough and morbid approach to both his images bot also his editing.

Tony Chu also does an excellent job the twistedness, but where David LaChapelle and Gudmund Thai used larger setups with many more elements, Tony Chu keeps it simple - twisted, but simple. He excels in portraits and model shoot - yeah, and cover up naked girls in food.

Visiting Michael Bangs blog, I stumbled upon a video showing photographers meetup and shoot at some kind of seminar.

A young dude called Joey Lawrence was present as well, and I went on and google him to see what he did.

To say the least, I was stunned by his work, so he earned his spot on this list instantly.

Christophe Huet is not a photographer, but a retoucher. That being said, he does some wicked manipulations, and if you haven't taken the take to check out his twisted mind and ideas, I suggest you do so.
